Is Jesus Appearing to Muslims?

July 09, 2016

There have been a lot of stories lately about Christ appearing to Muslims. It just goes to show you that there is no power that can prevent God's Elect from finding their way home! God uses people, but he doesn't have to - and that is cool. My uncle Dave met a young Muslim named "Wafi", and, well, here's Dave's story in his own words . .

Faith OF Christ

June 11, 2016

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shallin no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” (Matthew 5:18 KJV)

How important are God's words? Can we build doctrine on one word?  Jesus  answers the Sadducees who doubted the resurrection by quoting God’s words to Moses and clinches his argument over God’s use of one word, “am”. Paul builds doctrine on one letter, citing "seed" rather than "seeds" . .

Luther on Justification

May 30, 2016

Martin Luther is at it again! Alive after 450 years! Here he explains the the importance of the article of Justification, why eternal life must be freely given for Christ's sake, else all hope is gone-

The Stone

May 30, 2016

What is the most valuable thing you can possess? Gold? Platinum? I couldn't put the answer to this question more beautifully than David has in this beautiful poem . .  The Stone

Painting Jesus

May 30, 2016

Would Jesus be best pictured as a ladder the believer climbs to safety, or as a tractor beam like the one on the Starship Enterprise, grabbing those crying for help and safely carrying them to salvation?  The Tractor Beam view better portrays the Reformed view, that Jesus does it all . .

Headed For Adventure!

These are the original liner notes for the back cover of "Me & Toby. Parker, Nick & Bo".liKind of nostalgic for me. Good message . .

Manna . . What is it?

Ever wondered about the Manna the children of Israel ate in the wilderness? Many of their Old Testament experiences pointed to a greater spiritual truth, and the Manna episode was no exception. I have found the real bread of life! ll people more about this item. What's it about and what makes it interesting? Give people the info they need to go ahead and take the action you want. Reason and Logic

If there is no such thing as truth, why this endless parade of post-modern morons telling us they have it?  "We cannot know Truth" is an argument that ultimately destroys civilization and logic itself.

The Separation

While the world cries "unity and tolerance" God is doing something entirely different. Oh yes, "they shall gather" God says, "but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake" (Isaiah 54:15). God's word for this hour is separation. The "rich men of the earth" want global socialism. But God has a different plan: "For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath" (Matthew 13:12). Doesn't sound like socialism to me . . just sayin' . .

Rapture Before the Tribulation?

For the last 150+ years, the Church (chiefly in America) has accepted the teaching that she will be removed from the Great Tribulation that precedes Christ's return. But is this really what the Bible teaches?

The Net

May 07, 2016

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth"  (Matthew 13: 47-50 KJV)

Atheists . . Men of Faith!

May 14, 2016

I once thought I was an Atheist, but I have failed! I don’t have enough faith to be an Atheist! I tried to be one when I was younger so that I could sin in peace, but I just couldn’t pull it off.  If you care, here are a few reasons why I don’t have enough faith to be an Atheist. ce's attention...

More Luther On Galatians

May 17, 2016

"Did the Law ever love me? Did the Law ever sacrifice itself for me? Did the Law ever die for me? On the contrary, it accuses me, it frightens me, it drives me crazy. Somebody else saved me from the Law, from sin and death unto eternal life. That Somebody is the Son of God, to whom be praise and glory forever".

O Say but I'm Glad!

January 01, 2020

Evangelicals can be strange. Intellectually we attempt Dispensational Orthodoxy, but our hearts betray us! We cry with David, “Take not thy Holy Spirit from me!”, and our hearts swell when by faith we see that God “hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip” (Psalm 18:36), for those who know themselves well, fear their own weakness.

Two Dirty Words . .

July 26, 2016

There are two dirty words to the self-righteous. They are a little long for four-letter words, but for Rome, her school men (who are still around), and many others they are the dirtiest words in the world. They believe these words are so dirty that if you hear and believe them you will die! Ready? (Kids close your ears) Here we go: Chashab and: Logizomia

We Need Mystery!

May 17, 2016

We enjoy mysteries! They seem to arouse an inherent passion to solve them.  And when we solve them we have, in a sense, mastered mystery, and stand victor over its grave. We gain control and power, and apply this power to our world through our nature, our desires. Man seeks to conquer all mystery and gain all knowledge, but has a huge blind spot.

Thoe Coexist Stickers . .

May 12, 2016

Have you seen those “coexist” stickers on the back of some cars? They are symptomatic of the postmodern frog pot we’re all stewing in. Yes, postmoderns really think they can define Truth by what they want. “My opinion is as valid as yours!" someone yells. Yes, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but it’s not valid if it’s not true.

Who Gave Himself For My Sins

May 10, 2016

Have you ever read any of the Protestant Reformers? The late Tony Palmer said that the "Reformation was over". Sadly, he was largely right, for those who understand the means and security of our redemption grow fewer with each passing day. Thank God that Christ is not only the Author, but The Finisher. Here is Luther's view . .

The Lawnmower

May 09, 2016

Got it together yet? If you're normal, you measure your worth by your performance. It's our default setting. We earn respect, success and salvation. The Gospel is contrary to the way men think. And that's a good thing . .

A Poem

May 07, 2016
